How to use Fear & Greed Extension

Everything you need: install the extension, get an API key, and troubleshoot common issues.

Quick start

Start in 2–3 minutes

Recommended: install → get key → paste in Settings.

Step 1

Install extension

Install from Chrome Web Store. Open Binance/TradingView and use the sidepanel.

Step 2

Get API key

Choose a plan on Pricing. Your key will be available in Dashboard.

Step 3

Paste key in Settings

Open extension Settings → paste key → click Check key. Plan and quota will update automatically.

Where do I enter the key?

Open sidepanel → Settings → API key → Check key. If valid, you’ll see plan and quota (e.g., PRO • 3/50).

Where do I get the key?

On the site, your key appears in Dashboard. Pricing page: Pricing.

Troubleshooting

If something doesn’t work

Problem

I see “—” instead of data

Make sure you are on supported pages (Binance/Bybit/OKX/TradingView). Change symbol and click Refresh. Check internet/VPN.

Problem

Check key says invalid / unauthorized

Paste key without extra spaces. Press Clear → paste again → Check key. If revoked, generate a new key in Dashboard.

Problem

Limit reached / quota exceeded

Daily quota is exhausted. Wait for reset or upgrade your plan on Pricing.

Problem

Plan badge shows wrong plan

Press Check key to force validation. Refresh and change symbol to update quota.

Security

Is it safe to paste the key?

Yes. The key is for API access and quota only. Don’t share it with third-party sites. Revoke and generate a new key if needed.

Privacy

What data do we store?

Minimal: Install ID for anti-fraud + your API key stored in browser sync storage. We don’t store exchange data.

Go PRO/VIP, pay via MetaMask, and get your key for the extension.
